
The We Are Family Foundation has opened applications for the Youth To The Front Fund – The Creatives, a global funding initiative supporting young cultural leaders using creative practice to drive social and community impact.
The 2026 edition of the fund focuses on “The Creatives”, recognising artists and collectives who use storytelling, artistic expression, and cultural practice to challenge injustice, strengthen communities, and shape more equitable futures.
Through direct funding and network support, the programme aims to empower emerging cultural practitioners whose work contributes to social transformation and community-led change.
Funding
Selected creatives and collectives may receive grants of up to $10,000 to support exhibitions, programmes, research, or creative interventions addressing pressing social challenges.
Beyond financial support, recipients gain access to a global network of creative organisers, mentors and partners working across the arts, philanthropy and social justice sectors.
Eligiblility
Projects may be submitted across a wide range of disciplines, including:
Visual and material arts
Performance and embodied practices
Music and sound
Writing and literary arts
Film, media and cultural documentation
Design, architecture and spatial practice
Digital and creative technology
Creative organising and cultural strategy
Holistic healing, community spaces and sport
Focus areas
Projects should address one or more of the following themes:
Arts and social justice
Civics and community engagement
Climate justice
Education equity
The fund encourages applications from creatives or collectives with founding leaders under the age of 30, particularly those whose work centres on marginalised or underserved communities.
