The Stanley 1913 Creators Fund supports emerging nonprofit leaders developing innovative solutions to urgent social and environmental challenges. The fund is designed for organisations working at the intersection of humanity, sustainability and possibility, with a focus on locally driven approaches to issues such as climate change, food security, housing security, equity and justice.
The programme supports Creators, Builders and Inventors who are deeply connected to the communities they serve and are developing practical solutions with the potential to create meaningful change.
Funding
Selected organisations can receive up to $50,000 USD in funding.
Award amounts are determined by Stanley 1913 and may vary depending on the number of applicants, the size of the organisation and the strength of the proposal.
Funding can support the further development or delivery of an organisation's innovative solution to an urgent challenge.
Scope and approach
The fund is interested in organisations that are already taking action to address significant community or environmental challenges.
Strong applicants will demonstrate:
An innovative and original approach to solving an urgent problem.
A clear theory of change and evidence that their solution has been developed, tested or supported through previous funding.
Strong leadership and a compelling voice capable of building support around the work.
A clear opportunity for the funding to strengthen or expand the organisation's work.
A commitment to inclusion within both organisational practices and service delivery.
A willingness to collaborate with communities, partners and other stakeholders.
Applicants will be asked to provide information about their organisation and affiliated leader, explain the cause at the centre of their work, and demonstrate how they embody the qualities of an emerging Creator, Builder or Inventor.
Eligibility
The fund is open to nonprofit and charitable organisations worldwide, including organisations in Africa, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Oceania.
International applicants must hold legally recognised nonprofit or charitable status in their country.
Eligible organisations must:
Have been operating for less than 10 years.
Have annual operating income between $200,000 and $2 million USD.
Demonstrate alignment with the objectives and values of the Stanley 1913 Creators Fund.
Be willing to partner with Stanley 1913 and other stakeholders to share the organisation's story and progress.
