The Shore Scripts Short Film Fund is now accepting applications from emerging screenwriters, filmmakers, directors and producers worldwide seeking support to produce or complete narrative short films.
The fund provides production and post-production funding, alongside mentorship, industry guidance and access to leading film professionals to help bring outstanding short films to audiences worldwide.
Funding
The 2026 Fall Fund will award:
USD 15,000 Production Grant for a narrative short film screenplay.
USD 4,000 Finishing Fund for a short film in post-production.
Selected projects also receive industry support, including mentorship, camera equipment from ARRI Rental, and guidance on film festival strategy.
Categories
The fund supports narrative short films, including:
Live-action shorts
Animated shorts
Proof-of-concept shorts for feature films or television series
Projects applying for the Production Grant must submit a screenplay written in English, although the finished film may be produced in any country and any language (with English subtitles).
Projects applying for the Finishing Fund must already have material available, such as a rough cut, scene assembly, dailies or trailer.
Eligibility
Applications are open worldwide to screenwriters, directors, producers and filmmaking teams. Both emerging and first-time directors are encouraged to apply.
Shore Scripts also accepts submissions from standalone writers and may assist successful applicants in attaching a director and production team where needed.

Applicants must submit:
A screenplay written in English
A Script between 2 and 30 pages (up to 45 pages accepted for an additional fee)
Finishing Fund
Applicants must submit:
A rough cut, scene assembly, dailies, or trailer
The screenplay for the project
English subtitles for non-English language films
