The SAMPRA Development Fund is inviting applications from South African cultural organisations seeking support to stage live festivals and concerts between 1 June 2026 and 31 May 2027.
Designed to strengthen South Africa’s live performance ecosystem, the Fund contributes toward core production costs, including venue hire, sound equipment and engineering, performers’ fees, project management, and marketing. Awards of up to R250,000 (excluding VAT) are available, covering no more than 50% of the total event budget.
Funding is released after the event has taken place and once all required reporting and documentation have been submitted.

Have successfully staged at least two cultural events within the past two years
