The SAMPRA Development Fund is inviting applications for sponsorship opportunities for music awards and musicals in South Africa. Event organisers seeking financial support for music-related initiatives are encouraged to apply.


Funding Amounts

Eligible applicants can receive sponsorship up to:

  • R750,000 (exclusive of VAT) for music awards or similar events.

  • R900,000 (exclusive of VAT) for musicals or similar productions.


Eligibility Criteria

Applications are open to:

  • South African industry bodies and individuals whose projects align with SAMPRA’s objectives.

  • Events hosted within South Africa (international events do not qualify).

  • Registered entities with a CK document (proof of company registration).


Application Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Submit a detailed project proposal, including:

    • Organisation background

    • History of previous events

    • Project concept, objectives, and timeline

    • Marketing plan

    • Return on investment (ROI) for SAMPRA

    • Budget (supported by quotations from third-party service providers/vendors)

    • Contact details

  • Ensure all required documents and information are complete, as incomplete applications will not be considered.

  • Apply for events scheduled between 1 May 2024 and 31 December 2024.
