Open Call: PhotoVogue Brave New Visions: Creativity as Rebellion

Amount:

$12K

PhotoVogue has launched its 2026 Global Open Call, Brave New Visions: Creativity as Rebellion, inviting photographers and video makers from around the world to submit work that engages with the present through original and compelling visual storytelling.

The open call welcomes photography, video, and multimedia projects across all genres, including fashion, documentary, portraiture, fine art, and experimental practices, from artists aged 18 and above.

At a time when images are produced and consumed at speed, PhotoVogue invites artists to create work that resists repetition, holds attention, and makes something felt. The call does not ask for a theme to illustrate; it asks for a position in relation to the world as it is.

Funding

A total of $12,000 in grants will be awarded across three tiers:

  • $6,000 – Outstanding Vision Grant: for an artist whose work expands the boundaries of visual language.

  • $4,000 – Vision Grant: for an artist with a strong and singular perspective.

  • $2,000 – Rising Voice Grant: for an emerging artist whose work shows clarity, originality, and promise.

Additional benefits

Selected artists will be presented at the next edition of the PhotoVogue Festival, have the opportunity to be published across Vogue's global editions, and be invited to participate in the next PhotoVogue Virtual Portfolio Reviews.

What to submit

Applicants may submit a series of up to 15 images, or a combination of images and video for multimedia projects, and/or a 60-second video trailer.

AI-generated works are not eligible. Previously submitted projects are not eligible, and artists who have applied before are encouraged to submit a new project.

Eligibility

  • Open to all photographers and videographers aged 18 and above, worldwide

  • All genres accepted: fashion, documentary, portraiture, fine art, experimental, and beyond

  • Submissions are free
