Lisle International is inviting applications for its Global Seed Grants programme, supporting innovative projects that advance intercultural understanding through shared learning and meaningful engagement.
The programme funds initiatives that bring people from diverse backgrounds together to share experiences, build connections, and foster greater understanding across cultural, ethnic, religious, racial, and gender differences.
Funding
Grants up to $5,000 USDÂ are available for eligible projects.
Each year, Lisle awards between three and eight grants to projects across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
The programme does not support:
Infrastructure and building projects.
Hardware purchases such as computers.
Travel costs for U.S. participants in international programmes.
Salaries for U.S. volunteers in international projects.
Religious education or proselytising activities.
Scope and approach
The Global Seed Grants support new and innovative projects that promote intercultural communication and shared learning as a central objective.
Projects should demonstrate how intercultural engagement is intentionally embedded within the programme design and how participants will have opportunities to learn from one another through shared experiences.
The most competitive applications are typically projects that:
Foster intercultural interaction and dialogue.
Promote community building and collaboration.
Address conflict and social divisions.
Demonstrate innovation and potential for growth.
Lisle prioritises new initiatives with the potential to expand over time rather than ongoing or well-funded programmes.
Eligibility
Applications are welcome from organisations worldwide.
While Lisle prefers to fund organisations, individuals may also apply if they identify an organisation with which they will partner to implement the project.
