
The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, in partnership with BMW Group and with the support of Accenture, has opened applications for the Intercultural Innovation Hub (IIH) 2026, a global programme supporting non-profit organisations advancing intercultural dialogue and social inclusion.
The Intercultural Innovation Hub supports initiatives that address complex social challenges through innovative, community-based approaches, with a focus on fostering mutual understanding and building more inclusive societies.
Through financial support and capacity-building, the programme aims to strengthen and scale projects working across cultures and communities.
Funding
Selected organisations receive grants of up to USD 20,000 to support the development and sustainability of their projects.
In addition to financial support, participants will take part in a year-long programme including workshops, mentoring, and tailored guidance, as well as access to a global network of practitioners and partners.
Eligibility
Applications are open to:
Organisations from Africa, Oceania, the Americas, Asia, and Europe are eligible and encouraged to apply.
Non-profit organizations and non-profit social enterprises
Initiatives with an existing track record and potential for growth
Projects that are ongoing in nature (one-off events such as festivals or conferences are not eligible)
Please note that grant funding may not be allocated to salaries.
Focus areas
Projects should address one or more of the following:
Intercultural dialogue and social cohesion
Combating xenophobia and hate speech
Preventing violent extremism
Promoting gender equality and diversity
Supporting LGBTQI+ inclusion
Disability inclusion
Using sport, arts, and culture for social change
Leveraging AI and emerging technologies for social impact
