
Impact Partners is inviting feature documentary filmmakers from around the world to submit projects for development or production financing through its year-round funding programme.
The fund supports compelling feature-length documentaries that explore urgent social issues through powerful cinematic storytelling. Each year, Impact Partners invests in a select number of projects with the potential to spark public conversation and create meaningful social impact.
Funding
Development financing ranging from USD 30,000 to USD 100,000Â is available for early-stage documentary projects.
Funding may be used for activities such as:
Preliminary production shoots.
Trailer or sizzle reel production.
Archival research.
Character development and early production activities.
Projects that are already in production or post-production may also be considered for production financing through the programme's general fund.
Scope and approach
Impact Partners supports feature-length documentaries that address pressing social, political, environmental, or human rights issues.
The fund is looking for projects that combine strong cinematic storytelling with compelling characters, unique access, or distinctive archival material. Preference is given to films with the potential to engage audiences and contribute to broader public dialogue around important contemporary issues.
Funding is available throughout the documentary production process, from early development through post-production.
Eligibility
Applications are open to filmmakers worldwide.
To be eligible, projects must:
Be feature-length documentaries (generally 50 minutes or longer).
Have both a director and producer attached.
Have either the director or lead producer previously completed at least one feature-length documentary.
Address an urgent social issue.
Have a total production budget between USD 300,000 and USD 1.5 million.
Fiction films are not eligible.
