Open Call: iF SOCIAL IMPACT PRIZE 2026

The iF SOCIAL IMPACT PRIZE is inviting applications from organisations, social enterprises, and entrepreneurs developing innovative projects that create measurable social impact.


The programme recognises initiatives addressing some of the world's most pressing challenges, from poverty and education to climate action and gender equality, while highlighting the role of design in creating practical, sustainable solutions.


Funding

Selected projects will receive a share of the EUR 100,000 annual funding pool.


In addition to financial support, winning projects will:

  • Receive an official iF SOCIAL IMPACT PRIZE certificate.

  • Be showcased permanently on the iF Design website.

  • Gain international visibility among the global design community, media, and industry professionals.


Scope and approach

The prize supports projects that deliver meaningful, measurable, and long-term social impact.

Applications are welcomed from initiatives that address one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including education, health, gender equality, environmental sustainability, economic development, and social inclusion.


Projects should demonstrate innovation, social responsibility, practical implementation, and sustainable outcomes. A strong connection to design is also essential, whether through the use of design thinking, design-led problem-solving, or creative approaches that strengthen the project's overall impact.


Eligibility

Applications are open to:

  • Companies

  • Design studios

  • NGOs

  • Foundations

  • Public sector organisations

  • Social enterprises

  • Entrepreneurs


Projects must already be implemented or actively operating and demonstrate real-world impact.

Student concepts are not eligible.
