Call for Applications: GFX Challenge Grant Program 2026

The GFX Challenge Grant Program 2026, sponsored by Fujifilm, is now open for applications and supports emerging and promising photographers and filmmakers in bringing new creative projects to life.


The programme provides grant funding, access to Fujifilm GFX equipment, technical support, and mentorship opportunities to help content creators realise ambitious visual storytelling projects.


Selected projects will be showcased on the Fujifilm website in 2027, with additional exhibition opportunities planned in various countries.


Funding

Two grant categories are available:

  • Global Grant Award: US$10,000, access to GFX equipment, mentorship, and technical support.

  • Regional Grant Award: US$5,000, access to GFX equipment, mentorship, and technical support.


Scope and approach

Applicants are invited to propose a new photography or filmmaking project that explores a subject of personal significance. Projects may be submitted in either still photography or moving image formats.


The programme encourages creative experimentation and supports projects that have not yet been completed.

Award recipients will receive access to a Fujifilm GFX System camera body, including the FUJIFILM GFX ETERNA 55, along with two GF lenses for the duration of their project.


Mentorship and technical assistance from Fujifilm specialists will also be provided.


Eligibility

The programme is open to both amateur and professional photographers and videographers residing in eligible countries and regions across;

  • The Americas

  • Europe

  • The Middle East

  • Africa

  • Asia-Pacific

  • Mainland China.


Applicants must submit a proposal for a new, uncompleted project that will be produced using the Fujifilm GFX medium-format system provided through the programme.


Applications must be submitted in English. However, applicants whose first language is not English may include supporting materials in another language.


Employees and officers of Fujifilm and its subsidiaries are not eligible to apply.


Application process

Applicants must submit a single PDF document containing:

  • A completed Fujifilm cover letter template;

  • A project proposal outlining the concept and creative approach;

  • A portfolio showcasing previous work and accomplishments.
