Call for Proposals: DSAC Major Events Proposals 2026/27

The Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation invites proposals for Sport, Arts and Culture events or festivals seeking funding for the 2026/2027 financial year.


Aligned with the Growing Gauteng Together (GGT2030) Programme of Action, the Department seeks initiatives that promote inclusive participation, social cohesion and measurable economic impact across Gauteng.


Priority will be given to events that:

  • Improve living conditions in Townships, Informal Settlements and Hostels (TISH)

  • Increase participation of women, youth and persons with disabilities

  • Create job opportunities for women, youth and persons with disabilities

  • Strengthen local social cohesion and economic activity

  • Demonstrate audience growth and media visibility


Submission requirements

Proposals must include:

  • Company registration documents

  • Valid Tax Clearance and CSD report

  • Certified IDs of members/shareholders

  • Company profile

  • BBBEE Certificate or affidavit

  • Bank confirmation letter

  • Costed project implementation plan

  • Two signed endorsement letters

  • Latest audited financial statements or auditor letter


Submission details

Applicants must clearly indicate the appropriate reference number on the envelope:

-Sport and Recreation: SACR/ME/2026/SR

-Arts and Culture: SACR/ME/2026/AC


Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope and hand-delivered to:
