Applications are now open for two new funding opportunities under Connect & Create, the Sub-Saharan Africa component of the EU-funded Africa-Europe Partnerships for Culture programme, delivered by the Goethe-Institut, Expertise France, and the Institut français.
Both calls sit under the ACCES 27 project cycle and are open to applicants from the 48 countries of sub-Saharan Africa and the 27 EU member states.
The Two Calls
1. Professional Mobility
For international organisations and events such as:
festivals, professional gatherings
markets, fairs
conventions, summits
The scheme supports integrated mobility programmes built around discovery of local and international scenes, training, and professional networking.
2. Circulation of Performing Arts and Music
Supports the touring and international programming of African productions, helping structure the live performance sector on the continent and open new distribution networks and international visibility for African artistic creations.

Funding Amounts
Total call budget: EUR 445,000
Per project: EUR 15,000 – EUR 39,500
Funding covers up to 70% of the total project budget; applicants must secure at least 30% co-financing (cash or in-kind).

Eligibility
The call is open to organisations working in the performing arts and music sectors, including:
Performing arts companies, music ensembles, and artist collectives based in Africa
Production offices, artist development agencies, labels, cultural venues, and support organisations in Africa or Europe
Festivals, markets, professional meetings, and other cultural events in Africa or Europe.
Applicant organisations must:
Be legally established in one of the eligible countries in Sub-Saharan Africa or one of the 27 European Union Member States
Have been legally registered for at least two years
Be able to provide proof of registration
Hold a bank account capable of receiving international transfers
Demonstrate relevant experience in the performing arts and/or music sectors
Eligible entities include non-profit organisations, private companies, cultural institutions, foundations, and other professional cultural organisations.
