The City Lights Short Film Fund, in partnership with Genera Films, is supporting filmmakers from around the world with funding to bring their short film projects into production.
City Lights is particularly focused on supporting filmmakers whose work represents fresh perspectives and stories that deserve to be seen. The wider initiative is dedicated to discovering and nurturing new voices in film while creating opportunities for filmmakers to build connections and take meaningful steps forward in their careers.
The fund is specifically focused on production. It does not provide development funding, so applicants should be at the stage where they are seeking financial support to produce their short film.
Funding
Selected filmmakers can receive up to £5,000 towards the production of their short film.
Beyond the funding opportunity, shortlisted applicants will have the chance to discuss their projects with members of the City Lights judging team.
Eligibility
The City Lights Short Film Fund is open to filmmakers worldwide. Both emerging and established filmmakers can apply.
Applicants should be seeking funding for the production of a short film, rather than project development.
