
The Canon, in partnership with Images Evidence, has opened applications for the Canon Female Photojournalist Grant 2026, supporting women photojournalists working on in-depth reportage projects.
The grant is awarded to an individual photojournalist to support the production of a photo-reportage exploring social, economic, political, or cultural issues. The selected recipient will present their work at the Visa pour l’Image in Perpignan.
Funding
The selected applicant will receive a grant of €8,000 to support the production of their proposed photo-reportage project.
Eligibility
Applications are open to:
Female photojournalists working professionally
Individual applicants (group applications are not eligible)
Applicants of all nationalities
Projects must be original and developed in a journalistic context. Submissions involving the use of generative artificial intelligence are not permitted.
Focus
The grant supports photojournalistic projects addressing social, economic, political, or cultural issues, with an emphasis on strong storytelling and in-depth reporting.
