
Africa’s Business Heroes has opened applications for its 2026 Prize Competition, supporting entrepreneurs across the continent who are driving innovation and social impact.
The initiative aims to identify and empower African entrepreneurs building sustainable businesses that address pressing challenges and contribute to inclusive economic growth.
Each year, ten finalists are selected to compete in a final pitch competition, showcasing their ventures for a share of the prize funding.
Funding
A total prize pool of USD 1.5 million is awarded to the top 10 finalists.
Grants range from USD 100,000 to USD 300,000, with the overall winner receiving USD 300,000.
In addition to financial support, selected finalists gain access to training, mentorship, and global exposure.

Eligibility
Applications are open to entrepreneurs who meet the following criteria:
Founder or co-founder of the business
African citizen or direct descendant of an African citizen
Business is registered, headquartered, and primarily operating in Africa
Demonstrates at least three years of revenue and market traction
The programme is open to entrepreneurs across all sectors and African countries.
